The Alumni Relations Officer is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening programs and provide tangible benefits to alumni and current students. Serving as an ambassador, the Alumni Relations Officer is charged with securing commitments from alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service; collaborating with colleagues to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation that advance the goals of Holy Trinity; partnering with Development colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward alumni giving; and serving as a liaison between the Alumni Association and the administrative leadership.


  • Work closely with Vice President of Advancement to solicit, maintain, and track accurate and up-to-date information for alumni files
  • Meet with student groups to introduce them to Alumni Association activities and encourage their participation in alumni events
  • Ensure that databases and alumni records are current; maintain integrity of system and ensure that it is being utilized in an efficient and effective manner
  • Work closely with the Alumni Association, arranging its meetings, staffing its committees and ensuring strong and productive relationships between its members and the academic and administrative leadership Maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni web pages, and print publications
  • Provide support for Alumni Association activities, including Alumni Golf Outing, Alumni Christmas Dinner, Athletic Hall of Fame, and Alumni Baseball Outing
  • Coordinate efforts of Development Office team in planning and executing Alumni events


  • A minimum of two years of experience in alumni relations and external affairs with demonstrated accomplishments in fostering productive relationships with volunteers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues, alumni, other constituents and the public
  • The demonstrated ability to strategize, implement and build constituency programs and activities, along with a talent for motivating volunteers
  • Strong writing, planning and organizational skills
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or a similar constituent database
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree
