Dear Holy Trinity family,It is with great excitement that I share with you that Ms. Nara Mahone (pictured) has been named the 24th Principal of Holy Trinity High School.

Ms. Mahone has served as the academic leader of Holy Trinity for much of this school year after becoming Interim Principal in the fall. Building on her career in education spanning 18 years, Ms. Mahone has demonstrated her dedication to seeing our students and faculty thrive in a strong learning environment. The leadership, thoughtfulness, knowledge and passion for our mission she has exhibited throughout these past months made her the top candidate for the Principal position. We are thrilled to have her officially begin this role and continue her commitment to our school. Her vision for Holy Trinity will propel us forward and strengthen our entire school community.

Prior to joining the Holy Trinity family in 2020, Ms. Mahone has served in a variety of roles in several schools throughout the Chicagoland area, including 12 years teaching special education before moving into school administration. She is a proud alumna of Barat College where she did her undergraduate studies. She earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Roosevelt University and then went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia College.

Being Catholic-school educated herself, Ms. Mahone believes our school’s Holy Cross tradition is of the utmost importance and seeks to instill this mission into all we do. She acknowledges that we are not only preparing our students academically, but also ensuring a strong spiritual foundation. As the mother of five daughters, Ms. Mahone understands the importance of putting the needs of our students first and has sought to build strong relationships with our students to ensure they feel safe, welcome, and valued at Holy Trinity.

As Ms. Mahone accepts this position, she shares “it is my heartfelt privilege to serve as the Principal of Holy Trinity. I sincerely believe that a school environment that is collaborative draws on the strength of all stakeholders and fosters a positive school climate that makes a difference in the lives of our students. I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence that our school has established since 1910.”

I would like to extend my gratitude to our search committee whose time and dedication led us to this exciting moment for our wonderful school.

Congratulations Principal Mahone and I look forward to all we will continue to accomplish together on Division Street!

God bless,

Timothy M. Bopp
