Dear Holy Trinity Community:

We are writing to you with an update on our COVID-19 protocols. Following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, and the Archdiocese of Chicago, Holy Trinity High School will make masks optional starting on Monday, February 28. With this decision, all students, staff, and visitors will have the option to wear masks while in the building.

We understand that some families may not be comfortable with this decision. We are always working to provide the safest environment possible to facilitate the learning and development of our students. Any student or staff member who wishes to continue to wear a mask in school can do so.

We support all our families and employees in whichever decision they make regarding the regular use of masks. Individuals who wish to wear a mask are encouraged to use an N95 mask and we encourage our entire community to receive the COVID-19 vaccine/booster.

If any member of our school community contracts COVID-19, they must self-isolate and quarantine for a total of five (5) days before returning to the building and wear a mask for the following five (5) days. The administration will continue to monitor cases in the building closely, and we will keep you informed if anything changes.

For the last two years, you have trusted us to continue to educate the hearts and minds of your child(ren), while also entrusting us with keeping them healthy and safe while at school. There have been bumps in the road but we are stronger than ever. A special thank you to our teachers, staff members who have been the true heroes in these efforts. If you get a chance, thank them for all they do.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to email or call us.

God bless!
