Our Friends for a Future internship program continues virtually this year. Not only are our students learning new skills and workplace etiquette, but they are also getting an introductory course in remote working. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in March, we wanted to ensure our students would still get the valuable exposure to the workplace through our longstanding summer internship program with area companies and non-profit organizations. Several of our partners were able to offer a virtual internship experience for Holy Trinity students.

Susi Delgado ‘21 is spending her summer interning from home with the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services. Here’s what Susi shared about her experience this summer: “I’ve been attending many video calls which has taught me about communication and life after college. I’ve been able to open up a bank account to receive direct deposit for the first time, and now I can save for college!”

We are grateful to our partner organizations Beard Admin Services, DFSS, One Summer Chicago, and PAWS Chicago, who have made it possible for us to continue to offer this important opportunity to our students!
