Congratulations to Mason Baker ’18 who competed in the NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge held in New York City on October 12, 2017. Mason was one of two students from Chicago selected to compete after advancing through the city and regional competitions.

Mason created a business plan for a new technology company called Safe Ride, which uses Bluetooth and GPS technology to alert drivers when a cyclist is approaching. A bicycle enthusiast himself, Mason saw the need for this technology first-hand and developed a concept that leverages existing technology to create his innovative approach.

The competition included several components, including creating a video, developing a trade show booth and pitching his business to a panel of judges.

We are incredibly proud of Mason’s hard work and how well he represented Holy Trinity throughout this competition. Congratulations!
