The Administration is pleased to announce the hiring of Daniel DeBonnett as Athletic Director.
Mr. DeBonnett is joining the Holy Trinity community after six years of experience at Chicago Public Schools, spending last five at Walter Payton High School where he served as Assistant Athletic Director, Assistant Head Football Coach, and Strength and Conditioning Coach, as well as working in the classroom.
A Chicago native, he attended De La Salle High School as a three-sport student-athlete, competing in basketball, track, and football. He went on to play Division I and Division III collegiate football.
“I try to utilize my past experiences and knowledge as a former collegiate athlete and coach to guide, educate, and develop current student-athletes to pursue and obtain their academic, athletic, health, and wellness goals,” Mr. DeBonnett shared.
Mr. DeBonnett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Sports Leadership from Concordia University. He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education and Physical Education Certification from the University of Saint Francis.
“We believe Daniel will not only invigorate our athletic programs, he will inspire our student-athletes with his own story and expertise,” shares President Tim Bopp. “We look forward to welcoming him to the Holy Trinity family.”
