From the Principal
Welcome to April, HT families! We hope this month continues to find you well and safe as we continue to adjust to our new reality. We are especially grateful for the gift of technology. While we certainly miss seeing everyone in person, I am very proud of the exceptional job faculty, staff, and students continue to do teaching and learning. We are aware that the strain on all online systems is great, which leads to periodic interruptions in service, both with Schoology and with some of your internet providers. Our e-learning system is set up so that students have flexibility in terms of accessing and submitting work. We continue to check both attendance and timeliness in order to help students maintain some structure in their day, but work is not late if teachers have received it when they log in the next morning.
The safety and well-being of every member of our HT family is paramount. We continue to watch and listen to the best advice from the Governor, the CDC, and the IDPH. Our plan is still to continue classes through April 8 and then take our spring break. I think that after almost 4 weeks of e-learning, both teachers and students will be happy for a break from the computer!
Governor Pritzker has officially announced that schools will remain closed through April 30. Therefore, when we return from spring break, we will be resuming e-learning.
These weeks have brought hardship in a variety of ways to all of us. We add resources on our COVID-19 Updates page on the website regularly. If you are in need of emergency financial assistance for current tuition, please see the application below. The online registration page for returning students also has the financial aid forms for next year. If you need food assistance, please email me directly, mlynch@holytrinity-hs.org. I have a source of assistance available for meals.
Finally, if anyone in your household needs prayer support, please let us know so that we can help lift them in prayer together. Be safe and be well.
Mrs. Lynch
A Prayer to Heal Stress
Loving God, please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you’ve laid out for me at this challenging time. I trust your Love God, and know that you will heal this stress and give us the strength we need. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night, we know you are with us. Amen.
