Dear Senior Students and Parents,

Faculty and staff have been collaborating on ways to ensure our Class of 2020 is celebrated well and widely in the coming weeks. As we finalize our planning, we want to share with you the events to come and ask for your input.

Prom / Senior Day

On May 15, SGA has created a two-part Senior Day celebration.

  • “Classy by Day”
Seniors are invited to dress up in their prom best and share photos or short videos with Ms. Clark by May 13. Throughout the day on May 15, we will share your classy photos plus announce the Prom Court on our social media channels.
  • “Cozy by Night”
That evening, seniors are invited to get comfortable and join us for a private Zoom meeting for the announcement of their Prom King and Queen, plus our Senior “Best” Awards. Seniors will also have a chance to share their song dedications to one another.

Robing Ceremony

To honor this HT tradition in a special way, we will be live streaming our virtual celebration on Friday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. on our social media channels and website. All seniors will have the opportunity to choose a faculty or staff member to ‘robe’ them (students, check your email for the form and deadline in the coming days). Academic, athletic, and values awards will also be announced for the Class of 2020. We invite you to gather as a family to watch us celebrate the Class of 2020. (Underclassmen honors will be held at a separate time.)

Based on the state guidelines, we have explored several viable options for our commencement ceremony, and we’d like your input! Please complete the survey sent via email to guide us in our final preparations. We know that this is a significant moment in your lives and we will be working hard to make this day a celebratory one, no matter which option we move forward with!

If you have any questions, please reach out. Thank you for your partnership in honoring our seniors during these unprecedented times!
