Because our faculty is committed to making personal connections happen daily, students develop authentic relationships that support and inspire them. Holy Trinity’s teachers make themselves available even outside of school hours for tutoring support, career opportunities, networking, and even cheering students on at athletic events.

Elizabeth Torres has served as Holy Trinity High School’s President since March 2025. She succeeded Brother James VanDyke, C.S.C., who served as Interim President, and Timothy M. Bopp, who led the School as President for 18 years. Under Ms. Torres’ leadership, Holy Trinity continues to build on its strong foundation while advancing its mission, strengthening academic excellence, and expanding opportunities for students and families.

Previously, Ms. Torres served as Assistant Principal of Academics at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, where she led initiatives to improve student outcomes, including increasing SAT scores and GPA averages and raising retention rates by 25%. She also facilitated professional development and collaborated with external organizations to strengthen academic programming.

An experienced and dynamic educational leader, Ms. Torres brings more than two decades of experience in education, school growth, professional development, and organizational leadership. She holds an Ed.M. in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard Graduate School of Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.

Today, Ms. Torres leads Holy Trinity alongside Principal Dr. Maryanne Berry, who joined the School in July 2026. Together, they are focused on strengthening academic excellence, supporting faculty and students, fostering student well-being, and continuing to cultivate the vibrant, faith-filled community that defines Holy Trinity.
