Holy Trinity School Scholarships
PEAK Scholarship
PEAK, an INVITE ONLY scholarship, was founded in 1998 as a 501c3 nonprofit by two Notre Dame graduates, Eileen Cavanaugh Bender and Maria Madigan Kelly, and Father Tom Walsh at Holy Trinity. The program’s first cohort of ten students began school in the fall of 1998. The program has since served hundreds of students.
Since inception, PEAK has partnered with Holy Trinity High School, a Brothers of the Holy Cross School. All of our scholars receive a rigorous values-based education in Holy Trinity’s nurturing and academically challenging environment.
PEAK’s unique approach:
- A four-year full-tuition high school scholarship coupled with an award-winning mentoring program
- Mentors are paired with a scholar at the start of their freshman year
- Freshman Scholars are required to participate in a week-long orientation that outlines programmatic expectations but also has the intention of building connection between and within the scholar class
- Scholar families undergo an orientation process to help them understand and support their scholar’s relationship with their mentor
- Mentor + Scholar Pairs are not just determined by demographic similarities, but are also based on deeper-level dimensions such as attitudes, values, perspectives, and beliefs. We know this creates deeper and more productive relationships.
- Mentors commit to a 1:1 relationship for all four years that in most instances continues past high school and into adulthood
Do you know someone who would be a good fit for PEAK?
Do you know a remarkable middle school student who deserves the PEAK experience? We invite you to nominate them for a PEAK Scholarship at Holy Trinity High School. To nominate a student, please complete the PEAK Scholar Nomination Form. Selected students will be invited to interview with the PEAK committee.

PEAK Mentor+Scholar events are essential for providing scholars with the support and guidance they need to succeed. Mentors offer valuable advice, encouragement, and friendship. Together, they build strong relationships that have a lasting impact. Sometimes they even get to do cool stuff like learn a sport 🎾 💥 they’ve never played before and compete 🏆 against each other. – PEAK POST LINKEDIN
