Senior Celebrations Update – May 13

Dear Class of 2020 and our Parents of Graduates, As we shared in our video-conference meeting last Wednesday, a team of faculty and staff members have been working hard to prepare celebration opportunities for the Class of 2020. Thank you to all of you who completed our graduation options survey. The voting was close, especially between the options to hold a drive-through celebration and postponing the ceremony. Based on your feedback, our plan is two-part:  To host a drive-through processional on graduation day, and To plan a later, in-person event once we have received government approval to gather together again as a [...]

From the Principal We find ourselves with only 6 days left of regular classes, followed by 4 days of summative assessments. While no new classwork will be given after May 20, students will have an additional week to complete their summative projects or assessments and to make up missed work. Students DO sign into school on the exam days but will only have 1 or 2 class assessments. Please encourage your students to be persistent and do their best. The end is in sight and if they work hard now, they will soon have a well earned break!  All missed work [...]

Parent News – May 6

From the Principal Happy Mother’s Day weekend! We have a couple of special ways to celebrate this year. Watch for a video link this weekend to hear from some of our students about how much the mothers, grandmothers, aunties and special women in their lives mean to them, and to offer some special prayers for the blessing that you are to all of us. The second special celebration is a thank you from an anonymous donor. We will be distributing meals at Holy Trinity this Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. in honor of all our mothers. All HT families are [...]

Parent News – April 29

From the Principal A few questions have surfaced in the past week that I would like to address. First, students will not be held accountable for service hours this spring. They should be sure to enter any hours they had earned prior to the shelter-in-place order but we do not expect them to do any additional hours this year, regardless of their current totals.  A small number of students continue to have technical issues. Tech support has remained available Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., including being available in the building for pick-up of replacement parts when needed. [...]

Parent News – April 24

From the Principal It is good to see the number of students who are fully engaged this week in learning this week. I think just knowing how we will finish instead of wondering what’s next is helpful for all of us. The HT team is busy now working on ways to safely celebrate our year together and recognize everyone’s accomplishments, especially our seniors.  Individual senior meetings began with their counselor on Monday to help review college options, financial aid offers, and decisions about next steps. Senior parents are welcome to join these meetings. Thursday afternoon we will be meeting with the [...]
