Communications Agreement

Holy Trinity High School uses SchoolMessenger, a leading parental notification company, to provide a quick alert messaging service for parents  and staff. This service will notify families and employees through phone calls, text messages, and/or email alerts about a wide range of important  topics affecting their students’ safety and academic performance including: Emergency Broadcasts, School Closings and Delays, Event/School  Reminders, Early Dismissals, Student Attendance Alerts, and General Announcements. 

Federal law now limits the ability to use automated calling systems such as School Messenger for non-emergency purposes without your written  consent. Holy Trinity needs the recipient’s permission to send non-emergency automated phone notifications, as well as SMS text messages, to a  mobile phone number. Holy Trinity must be certain that the message is going to the right phone number and person. In order to comply with this  

legislation, Holy Trinity High School will only send automated non-emergency calls to families who provide written permission to do so.  Emergency calls (such as weather closures/delays/tardies and unverified absences) are not affected by this legislation because they may affect  the health and welfare of children who attend our schools.  

Historically, most families find these communications useful and approve of them. Holy Trinity keep you informed without burdening you with  too many calls. Please review and complete this permission slip to indicate your approval to receive non-emergency messages via the School  Messenger automated calling system. If you have questions about this notification, please contact our school principal.

I hereby give Holy Trinity High School and its employees, representatives, affiliates and authorized media  organizations permission to print, photograph, and record my child for use in audio, video, film, or  any other electronic, digital and printed media. I agree that Holy Trinity High School may use such  photographs/videos of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose.  

I further release and relieve Holy Trinity High School, its Board of Trustees, employees, affiliates and other  representatives from any liabilities, known or unknown, arising out of the use of this material. I do this with  full knowledge and consent and waive all claims for compensation for use or for damages. 

I have read and understand the above and hereby consent. 

As a parent or guardian of this student, I have read and understand the above and hereby consent.
