Applying to Holy Trinity
Incoming Freshmen
We are now accepting admission applications for the coming school year. The following items must be completed:
- Take Entrance Exam at Holy Trinity. You can reserve your place for the exam starting November 21, 2025.
- Click the link for Holy Trinity Online Admission Application.
- When you click on the link, each family will be asked to create an admissions account. Then the family will have access to all the required elements to complete the admissions process all within the account. All of the items below can be uploaded into the student’s Admissions account.
- Full-year 6th and 7th grade report cards, and 8th grade first or second quarter report cards. (whichever is the latest)
- 7th grade or 6th grade standardized test scores (NWEA, MAP Aspire, iReady, etc.)
- Financial Assistance Application (English/Spanish): Submit along with copies of the family’s 2022 tax return and two most recent paystubs from all working adults in the household.
- If applicable, upload a copy of your student’s IEP/Plan 504 plan

Incoming Freshmen: Entrance Exam
The entrance exam is an important step for current 8th graders to become a Tiger. Holy Trinity offers the STS High School Placement Test, the same test offered by all Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago. By taking the exam at Holy Trinity, prospective students become eligible to receive academic scholarships and apply for financial assistance.
Students Must Bring:
- $25 testing fee (cash, credit card, or check made payable to Holy Trinity; If you paid online, let us know when you check in on test day)
- A copy of your IEP/504 plan (required for testing accommodations if applicable)
- Two #2 pencils
- Copies of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade report cards and standardized test scores

Transfer Students
Holy Trinity High School accepts transfer students at all grade levels at the beginning of each school year and at the start of second semester. Students interested in transferring to Holy Trinity do not need to take an entrance exam. All applications are reviewed based on the student’s academic performance, attendance, and behavior at their current high school. To apply, submit all completed admission forms and documents to the Director of Admissions.

- Discipline & Attendance Record
- Unofficial transcript (from all years in high school).
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or dean (recommendations should be sent by teacher/dean directly to the Director of Admissions).
- Financial Assistance Application (English/Spanish): Submit along with copies of the family’s 2024 tax return and two most recent paystubs from all working adults in the household.
- If applicable, a copy of the student’s IEP/Plan 504 plan
