After a series of bad weather days, the skies cleared on Saturday enough to enable the Tiger track team to put together a series of impressive early season performances. The field events started the day, and Patrick Ezeanyim set a PR with a throw of 8.62 meters (28’-3 ½”) to place 15th in the shot put. The track events featured Jaden Hamilton finishing 3rd in the 100 meter sprint with a time of 11.93, and Viktor Markovych taking 7th place in the same event. Andrea Barrera lowered her 800 meter personal record by 13 seconds to finish in a time of 2:59.53. Both Sunita Pate and Seniah Martin showed improvement in the 200 meter sprint, posting seasonal best times. Delilah Gutierrez shook off early meet jitters to compete in her first interscholastic competition.
