The HT Girls’ Basketball team defeated Francis W. Parker, 30-24, on Thurs., Dec. 5, to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Lady Tigers got it done thanks in large part to a team effort on defense (15 defensive rebounds, 17 steals) as well as the offensive glass (15 offensive rebounds). Diamond Young (10 points) and Nayanah Mahone (8 points) led the way for HT in the scoring department, with Mark’ianna Mickles (4 points), Hope Shelton (4 points), Nichelle Sturkey (2 points), and Jayla Beverley (2 points) chipping in, as well. For F.W. Parker: Miriam Johnson finished with 8 points, Jojo Husbeck added 6 points, and Sloane Kins contributed 4 points.

Next up for the HT Lady Tiger Basketball team: a home tilt against Northtown at 5PM on Tues., Dec. 10th.
