Literacy plays a pivotal role in transforming students into socially engaged citizens. The English Department seeks to prepare Holy Trinity students for college and beyond by providing them with the skills to successfully read and understand a variety of texts from numerous genres, purposes, and levels of complexity. Holy Trinity students are provided with the writing skills necessary to succeed in college as well as the business world. The English teachers work to instill in students a love of reading, as books educate the heart as well as the mind.
