
Applying to Holy Trinity
Incoming Freshmen
We are now accepting admission applications for the 2021-2022 school year. To successfully apply for the Class of 2025, the following items must be completed. Submit all completed admission forms and documents to admissions@holytrinity-hs.org.
- Take Entrance Exam at Holy Trinity on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Both in-person and remote entrance exam options will be offered (each family will need to decide whether their student will take the exam in-person at Holy Trinity or remotely at home). You can reserve your place for the Entrance Exam HERE.
- Holy Trinity Admission Application: English or Spanish.
- Copies of 6th and 7th grade full-year, and 8th grade first quarter report cards.
- Copy of 7th grade standardized test scores (NWEA, Aspire, etc.). It would be acceptable to submit standardized test scores from 6th grade if you did not have 7th grade.
- Document Release Form
- Financial Assistance Application: English or Spanish (optional). Submit along with copies of the family’s 2019 tax return and two most recent paystubs from all working adults in the household.
- A copy of your student’s IEP/504 plan (if applicable)
Incoming Freshmen: Entrance Exam
The entrance exam is the first step for current 8th graders to become a Tiger. Holy Trinity offers the STS High School Placement Test, the same test offered by all Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago. By taking the exam at Holy Trinity, prospective students become eligible to receive academic scholarships and apply for financial assistance.

Students Must Bring:
- $25 testing fee (cash, credit card, or check made payable to Holy Trinity)
- A copy of your IEP/504 plan (required for testing accommodations if applicable)
- Two #2 pencils
- Copies of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade report cards and standardized test scores
- Holy Trinity Application
- Document Release Form (optional)
- Financial Assistance Application – New Student (optional)
Register for the Entrance Exam
Transfer Students
Holy Trinity High School accepts transfer students at all grade levels at the beginning of each school year and at the start of second semester. Students interested in transferring to Holy Trinity do not need to take a entrance exam. All applications are reviewed based on the student’s academic performance, attendance and behavior at their current high school. To apply, submit all completed admission forms and documents to admissions@holytrinity-hs.org.
- Holy Trinity Admission Application: English or Spanish.
- Discipline & Attendance Record
- Unofficial transcript (from all years in high school).
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher or dean (recommendations should be sent by teacher/dean directly to admissions@holytrinity-hs.org).
- Document Release Form
- Financial Assistance Application: English or Spanish (optional). Submit along with copies of the family’s 2019 tax return and two most recent paystubs from all working adults in the household.
