Several members of the “Alley Cats” took advantage of the opportunity to test their fitness against quality competitors and set new personal records in the process. Andrea Barrera lowered her 800 meter personal record by 13 seconds to finish in a time of 2:59.53. Both Sunita Pate and Seniah Martin showed improvement in the 200 meter sprint, posting seasonal best times. Delilah Gutierrez shook off early meet jitters to compete in her first interscholastic competition.

On the boys side, Manasseh Boahene lowered his 200 meter personal record, completing the indoor oval in 24.10 seconds. Alexander Cruz, competing in his first 800 meter race, finished in a time of 2:21.56. Jaden Hamilton just missed the finals of the 60 meter sprint, covering the distance in 7.34 seconds. The Lady Tigers will be in action this week at the Art Sullivan Invitational in Summit and both the boys and girls teams will compete in the Reavis Co-Ed Invite March 5th.
